Deleting your data in Kartiya
This page explains how to delete your readings or your whole account in Kartiya, and what is removed or kept.
Delete individual readings
You can remove readings one at a time, with or without an account, and without deleting your account:
- Open Kartiya.
- Open your journal / history.
- Swipe a reading and confirm to delete it. It is removed from your history immediately.
Delete your account and all of its data
If you created an account (optional email sign-in):
- Open Kartiya and tap the account icon at the top.
- Tap Delete account.
- Confirm with your password. Your account and everything synced to it are deleted right away.
Can't open the app? Email [email protected] from the address on your account and ask us to delete it. We will remove the account and its data and confirm by reply.
What is deleted, and what is kept
- Deleted when you delete your account: your email address, your password, every reading and follow-up synced to the account, and your sign-in sessions. These are removed from our active database immediately.
- Anonymous readings made without an account live only on that device. They are gone when you delete them in the app or uninstall it.
- Kept elsewhere: subscription and billing records are handled by Google Play (and our payments processor). Deleting your Kartiya account does not cancel a subscription. Manage or cancel a Kartiya Plus subscription in the Google Play Store.
- Retention: deleted data is removed from live systems at once. Any routine server backups that may include it are cycled out within 30 days. We do not sell your data.
